The Government Technical Advisory Centre (GTAC), in collaboration with the National Planning Commission (NPC) invite you to a Webinar on
The webinar will focus on the NPC’s policy paper on Public infrastructure delivery and construction sector dynamism in the South African economy. The objective of this policy paper is to provide a succinct analysis of the NDP Vision 2030, what it proposed, its achievements, what it tried, possible gaps and recommendations for enhancing its impact.
The paper covers all the infrastructure elements of the NDP, with a particular focus on that which is in the control of government. As such it identifies the primary causes of underspending and other problems relating to public infrastructure procurement and delivery management and what should be done to address them. The recommendations contained in the paper are even more urgent in the context of the covid-19 pandemic and the imperative to course-correct towards growth and development path.
These papers contribute to a wider assessment by the NPC of economic performance and have been publically released with the objective of enabling public engagement on this critical topic.
The policy paper is available via https://www.nationalplanningcommission.org.za/assets/Documents/Public%20infrastructure%20delivery%20and%20construction%20sector%20dynamism%20in%20the%20South%20African%20economy.pdf.
