PROCUREMENT ANALYST

The above vacancy exists at Tushiyah Advisory Services Rivonia (Head Office). Applications are invited from suitable candidates to the above position. This position is a Fixed Term Contract valid for 12 months with an option to renew.

PURPOSE OF JOB

The primary responsibility of the Procurement Analyst is to analyse pending procurement opportunities, match SMEs with procurement / market opportunities, coordinate engagements between the procurement team and SMEs, support engagements between the procurement team and Business, source SME profile (internal and external), support SME performance management, support Weekly and monthly reporting and support resolution of SMME

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyse pending opportunities and identify SMME relevant opportunities

• Match SMEs with procurement / market opportunities

• Source company profiles, validate and assess against market opportunities

• Keep the business advisors abreast of relevant contact with SMMEs

• Support the coordination of engagements between the Procurement team, SMMEs and SBSA staff

• Give necessary input to various reports

• Engage SBSA Staff to facilitate resolution of SMME queries 

Relevant Experience:

• Must have at least 2-3 years’ prior work experience in Procurement

• Experience in market opportunity analysis

• Experience in banking and IT will be an advantage

• Experience as a small business owner will be an advantage, also sound knowledge and experience in small business development

Educational Background:

• Must hold a relevant qualification in development, economics, commerce or entrepreneurial studies

• MS SharePoint (Intermediate)
