ACCOUNTANT/SENIOR CREDIT CONTROLLER

The above vacancy exists at Tushiyah Advisory Services Rivonia (Head Office). Applications are invited from suitable candidates to the above position. This position is a Fixed Term Contract valid for 12 months with an option to renew.

PURPOSE OF JOB The primary responsibility of the Accountant/Senior Credit Controller is to review and reconcile the processing of TPFA transactions as well as perform accounting services for the projects funded by SBSA as well as SMEs on other Tushiyah projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Validate payment requests and invoices submitted for payment

• Perform Payroll services where required

• Reconcile Supplier, Customer, and Bank accounts

• Preparing monthly management accounts

• Preparing and managing budgets

• Cash flow management – three months rolling cash flow projections and any required period cash flow projections

• Oversee the admin support duties

• Reporting on all managed projects

• Oversee filling and administration processes

• Attend and participate in weekly telecom discussions with the Tushiyah project team

• Be available to attend all designated project related meetings

• Attend to weekly and monthly reporting

• Weekly Status updates with the Finance Specialist and Project Leader

• Liaise with the Business Development Specialist 

Procurement Specialists Relevant Experience:

• Experience in Small, Medium, and Micro enterprise environment

• Experience in accounting, tax, and payroll services Educational Background

• Must hold a relevant qualification in Commercial Business / Finance/ Accounting or Equivalent

• Industry accreditation (SAIPA, SAIBA, SAICA, ICBA, ACCA, CIMA etc.)

Competencies and Skills:

• Ability to work on Pastel Partner Accounting Software and VIP Payroll/SAGE Payroll

• Ability to prepare annual financial statements and management accounts

• Ability to prepare budgets and cash flow projections
